Best used for
Black Lapatro is black granite with a lapatro, or leather, finish: the face is brushed after cutting so it has a soft, slightly textured surface instead of a mirror shine. It suits a kitchen counter that gets used hard, because fingerprints, water spots and small scratches show far less than on a polished black. It pairs well with pale cabinets and wooden tops, and it does not glare under kitchen lights.
Things to know
A leather face is more open than a mirror polish, so seal it before oils and curry go on it. The texture holds a little more dirt than polished stone, but it releases with a damp cloth.
