Best used for
Snow White, also sold as Cotton White, is a white granite with a fine, even scatter of grey and black specks. From a few steps away it reads as an off-white floor, so it brightens a room the way a white marble does while keeping the hardness of granite. It suits whole-house flooring, staircases and pooja rooms, and a kitchen counter where dark cabinets need a light top to sit against.
Things to know
Light granite is more likely than dark granite to hold a stain from oil, haldi or tea if the spill is left for hours, so seal it after fitting and reseal kitchen counters from time to time. The small, regular speckle hides dust and footprints better than a plain white and makes joints easy to lose on a large floor. White stone shows the difference between lots more than dark stone does, so take all the slabs for one floor from a single lot.
