Best used for
Alaska White is a white and pale grey granite with large crystals and dark grey to black streaks that move across the slab, more like a marble in look than a speckled granite. It suits a kitchen island, a dining or cafe table top, a feature wall or a living-room floor where the stone should be noticed. It gives the bright look of a white marble with a harder surface.
Things to know
Light granite with a large, open crystal can hold oil, haldi or tea stains if spills sit for long, so seal it well after fitting and reseal kitchen tops from time to time. Stone of this kind can have small natural pits and hairline fissures, which are often filled with resin at the factory; ask to see the face of the actual slab in good light. Every slab is different, so choose the slabs you will use.
