Best used for
JD Figurative is the veined cousin of JD Brown: the same grey-brown ground, but crossed by dark, flowing bands of black and charcoal that run the length of the slab. Choose it for a surface you want people to notice, such as a kitchen island, a reception counter, a dining table or a wall behind a television. Each slab is different.
Things to know
Because the veins run in one direction, decide which way they should flow before the slab is cut, and tell the fitter. A figurative stone is harder to match across several slabs than a plain speckled one; for a long counter, choose slabs that were cut next to each other in the block so the veins continue. Ask on WhatsApp for photos of the specific slabs before you commit.
