Best used for
Alaska Red is a bright orange-red granite with irregular black and dark green patches that run through the slab in a broad, flowing pattern. It is a bold stone for a surface people will look at: a conference or dining table, a kitchen island, a reception counter, a feature wall or a facade. A little goes a long way in a room with plain walls and floor.
Things to know
The pattern is large and every slab is different, so lay out the slabs and choose them together before cutting. Red granite shows white cement smears and polishing dust after fitting, so ask for a proper final clean. It is hard and holds its polish well; seal it once after fitting. Ask on WhatsApp for daylight photos of the actual slabs, because the red looks stronger under warm lights.
